Message boards
There are plenty of message boards on the web. These are the UK language
ones. If you find any broken links please
to let us know.
Blood And Fire
The message board has seen some major ructions recently and though some
of the off topic stuff that was unnecessary has gone so has the spark
that made this board extra special. Still very good though.
SNWMF
The message board of the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (or Stoke
Newington World Music Festival if you believe some of the UK posters).
Hard to recommend as there is some very strange stuff that goes on here
- mad off topic discussions and either madder Californian hippy stuff.
There is some quality stuff if you dig deep though.
Trojan Records
The green background is unpleasant and it's a relatively quiet board,
there are also too many different sections making the whole thing quite
confusing. Head straight for General Discussion, you'll find most of the
interesting stuff there.
Pama
Not officially related to Jet Stars former incarnation but a message board
dealing with Pama and related releases with an emphasis on late 60's and
early 70's. A relatively quiet board but a regular and knowledgeable crowd
keep it bubbling along.
Reggae News UK
Not much traffic here , they have plenty of members but there is very
little discussion going on.
Dancehallreggae.com
A very busy message board (as busy as all the others put together). There
are loads of sections and if you post something in the wrong one you'll
get pulled up by the moderators very quickly. Mostly modern dancehall
orientated but the foundation section sees plenty of activity too. The
corporate vibe is a little off putting.
