Summer Place was called Hotter Place on the Jamaican issue, the organ lead takes the melody from the hit Theme From A Summer Place. The actual rhythm was used several times by producer Ranny Williams; The Sparkers – Dig It Up (titled Dip It Up on the UK issue), Ranny Williams – Rent Too High and Code It.
Big Boy is a take on Big Boy And Teacher AKA What Is Catty.

The Soul Cats were Ewan McDermott, Jerry Mathias, Charley Orgainaire and a fourth unidentified member. Both sides are Charley Organaire productions.

Doctor Jekyll features Dave Barker, it was titled Black Power on the US issue on Strakers, this seems a more logical title if you listen to the lyrics.

Oh Me Oh My is a cover of the Lulu song Oh Me Oh My (I’m a Fool for You Baby) that was a huge pop hit in 1970. I Did It is a cove of Jackie Mittoo’s Studio One hit Who Done It (and was titled Who Don It (sic) on the Jamaican Splash issue). This pairing was also released on Trojan in the UK.

You probably know but FYI ‘Summer Place’ is on the Sparkers ‘Dig It Up’ rhythm, 4th cut (AFAIK) after ‘Dig It Up’, ‘Rent Too High’ and ‘Code It’. Probably makes more sense adding this to the text than publishing the comment
