Leggo Beast

Digikiller records move onwards and upwards with the first three 7″ releases from a promised series of Leggo Sounds reissues. Trevor Douglas of Leggo Sounds was producing from the 70’s to the 90’s. The first two of these issues date from 1986 and the third, the in demand Youths Get Tricked, from ’95. We’re looking forward to the next instalments already.

Bad this year

Undisputed tune of the year so far has to go to Gappy Ranks for Put The Stereo On. Gappy has been on top of things with his tunes for the Peckings camp, especially the classic Heaven In Her Eyes but Put The Stereo take things in a different direction and to another level.

It’s hard to keep up with the amount of Mashups and remixes that are coming out these days and when you hear the quality of some of them you wouldn’t want to bother anyway. Still once in a while something comes along that is just a little bit special and worth checking out.
