Just out on 17 North Parade/VP a two CD anthology of Eek A Mouse. This features 34 audio tracks plus a DVD of his appearance at Reggae Sunsplash in 1982.

Alongside the big tunes for Junjo Lawes, Joe Gibbs and others from the early dancehall era this collection notably features the superb Creation, My Father’s Land and No Wicked Can’t Reign three tunes that were originally released under his real name Ripton Hilton and are appearing CD for the first time. Also featured is a previously unreleased (officially at least!) October 1983 four track BBC session for John Peel.

The classic material such as Wa-Do-Dem, Anarexol and Star, Daily News & Gleaner are always worth hearing but the Ripton Hilton tracks make this collection pretty much essential.
