Dug Out on a roots and digi tip

Dug Out recordsToday Mark Ernestus and Mark Ainley’s Dug Out records have announced their latest seven inch re-issue. A 1990 Lloyd Dennis production on his Pickout label; Love Is Where You Find It by Foxy Brown. When I first heard this I wasn’t sure why they’d chosen this particular track but then the bass hits and it all makes sense. Not their best release but certainly not a bad tune.

Around a month ago but not mentioned on DanceCrasher at the time Dug Out released the early 70’s Nyabinghi styled LP Dadawah – Peace And Love. This Ras Michael lead classic with four extended tunes is very highly regarded and it is certainly no surprise that the eclectic bunch at Dug Out picked up on it for their first long play release.
