The New York reissue label Digikiller return with some 14 Karat label releases out of the Mikey Jarrett camp that look very hard to resist. They first re-issued some Mikey Jarret productions on 14 Karat back in January, now they are back with two more 12″ releases.

Mikey Jarret - DKR-023 – A: THRILLER – TOO MUCH RACKET / DUB // B: WAYNE JARRETT – NICE AND EASY / DUB

Wayne Jarrett
Resurrection by Dizzy Flemming is a heavy duty roots horn piece that was originally issued on a Mandingo label 12″ in America in the early 80’s – this is an in demand tune so this re-issue will go down well.
All other cuts are on the same rhythm as Young Africans by Scion Success, they date from the early 80’s but are previously unreleased. The Wayne Jarrett is unfortunately not a great mix as the vocal sounds a little low and is drowned out by the brass but the other cuts sound fine and the Thriller is particularly good.
